How to play «The Ritual»

The Ritual — a cooperative horror game: a circle of mediums must light the seals in a secret order that no one fully knows — each holds one clue fragment. Talk and reconstruct the order as the Darkness rises. One of you is Possessed, lying and sabotaging.

1. Five seals stand before you. They must be lit in a strict secret order — but no one knows it fully.
2. Each medium holds one true clue about the order (“Moon before Serpent”, “Eye is last”). Speak up and combine them.
3. Anyone may try to light the next seal. Right — it ignites. Wrong — the Darkness rises faster.
4. One of you is secretly Possessed: a false clue, misdirection, and twice per game they can snuff a lit seal.
5. The Darkness rises over time and on mistakes. Light all five seals before it peaks — or it consumes everyone.
